For small teams making launches, games and creative work

Keep the brief, deck, and feedback together.

A shared project for small teams: write the brief, build the deck or storyboard, and keep review conversations beside the work.

Board · Skyward SocksExample project
Example: a game's project board. A line is drawn from the pitch to the trailer storyboard; Rosa, the festival's curator, is tied to the game brief as its reviewer and hands it back once she has read it, the brief is approved, and the demo milestone list is carried into the Next Fest folder.
Project board

See how the work connects.

Every file in the project is a card on one board. Draw a line from the brief to the deck, show who reviews what, and file cards into folders as the project grows.

How it works

From the first brief to the approved deck.

One project holds every step: the files, the people, and what they said about the work.

  1. Write the brief

A document the whole team reads, with its pictures and files kept beside it.

  2. Build the deck

Bento slides or a storyboard, in the same project. Slides export to PDF and PowerPoint.

  3. Ask for a review

Choose who reviews it. They read it and reply in Talk, quoting the passage they mean.

  4. Handed back

When they have read it, they hand it back, and it waits for you with what they said.

  5. Approved

Approve it, ask again, or take it back to draft. Approving is part of Team.

Files

Keep every file where it belongs.

Docs, slideshows, storyboards, and lists live in one Files list. Filter by kind, drag a file into a folder, and start a new one from a template.

Skyward SocksExample project
Example: the Files list of a game project. It is filtered to slideshows, then the pitch, the trailer storyboard and the game brief are dragged into the Next Fest folder, and a new to-do list is made from a template and named Demo milestone.
Presentations

Design a deck that holds its shape.

Lay out each slide as a grid of frames. Split and merge them, drag an edge or swap two, add words and pictures, change a colour or the slide's shape, and every frame moves into place. Export to PDF and PowerPoint when it's ready.

Next Fest pitchExample project
Example: one slide of the Next Fest pitch being designed, its words set in text blocks -- a cover, a section. A frame is split in two, words are added to the new half and set in the Stat block, its colour changed, two frames merged and the game's key art put in, two turned a quarter turn, an edge dragged to make a frame taller, the words carried into another frame, two frames swapped, the slide changed from widescreen to portrait, and its two right-hand frames merged.
Teamwork

Keep the conversation close to the work.

Quote a passage, talk it through beside the document, and find it again from the conversation. The review stays with the people and the project it belongs to.

Game briefExample project
Example: in Talk, beside the game brief, Rosa, the festival's curator, quotes a line and asks for a tease of World 2 at the end of the demo; Kai answers, and Noor writes a reply and sends it.
Drawing

Sketch by hand, keep it sharp.

Draw with a pen or a mouse: ink thins and swells with the pressure, and a rough circle held still turns into a clean one. Or give riwer a picture and it draws it back in strokes you can edit. Every drawing stays a crisp SVG inside your project.

Two fishExample project
Example: in riwer Draw, two fish are drawn stroke by stroke with the ink pen, thin and thick with the pressure. Then, with the fine line, five bubbles are drawn roughly and held still until each turns into a clean circle, and the fins are filled pink.
Themes

Work in the light that suits you.

Seven themes, from warm paper to deep night. Each one changes the whole workspace, and riwer keeps the one you choose.

What goes in

A whole document in one file.

A riwer file holds the document as it is, whether text, a slideshow's slides, a list or a drawing, and every picture in it.

Make one with Export as riwer file, in the menu of any document or drawing.

Open it in any project and it is all there again, its pictures kept in that project. Signed out, it opens to read on this computer, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Markdown, Word, PowerPoint and web pages open in riwer too.

Getting started

What can I create?

Documents and reports, bento slideshows, storyboards, and structured lists such as to-dos, content plans, and budgets. Every kind starts from a template in + New file.

Do I need to know Markdown?

No. You write in a visual editor, and the Markdown source is one press away if you want it. Documents are Markdown underneath, so they open in other editors too.

Is there an app for my phone or computer?

Yes. riwer installs from your browser on iPhone and iPad, Android, Windows and Mac: its own icon and window, opening straight to your projects. Press Install riwer on this page, or Install the app in your account menu.

Can I use riwer without an account?

Yes. Documents can be written and exported on your own computer without signing in. A shared project, lists, the project board, and talking with your team need an account.

How does my teammate join?

An admin copies an invite link under People and sends it however you like. Your teammate opens it, makes an account or logs in, and joins, landing on the document you chose with its conversation open.

Files and work

What can I import, preview, and export?

Markdown opens as it is; Word and HTML files are converted into editable documents, though complex formatting may not survive. Images, video, audio, PDFs, and text files can be kept and previewed with the work. Documents export to Markdown, HTML, PDF, and Word; slideshows export to PDF and PowerPoint.

How big can my files be?

Each kind of file has its own limit. On Free: a picture up to 20 MB, a video up to 100 MB, a recording up to 50 MB and any other file up to 50 MB. On Team: a picture up to 50 MB, a video up to 500 MB, a recording up to 250 MB and any other file up to 250 MB. A photo longer than 4096 pixels on its long side is made 4096 pixels long as it is kept; a GIF or an SVG is kept as it is. A project's files share its storage: 5 GB on Free, 25 GB for each paid editor on Team. A document's words can be up to 5 MB on Free and 20 MB on Team, and a drawing up to 10 MB and 50 MB.

Can we edit the same document together?

A shared document saves to the project, and riwer stops one person's save from silently overwriting another's. Your team sees the discussion, the review status, and the latest saved version. Typing in the same paragraph at the same moment, Google Docs style, is not supported.

Where is my work stored, and how do I take it out?

Local documents stay on your computer. Project documents and files are kept in riwer's cloud. Any document exports to Markdown, HTML, PDF or Word, and a slideshow to PDF or PowerPoint. Export this project, in a project's menu, gives you one .zip of its documents, its conversations and up to 400 MB of its files; its README names any file left out, which you can still download one by one. Direct messages and earlier versions are not in it.

Can Claude or Codex work on my project?Planned

Not yet. A connection for AI assistants is planned. This page will say so when it is available, and which assistants it supports.

Plans and billing

Who counts as an editor?

Anyone who can change documents: admins and editors. Reviewers and viewers read, talk, and review for free, with fair use: on Team, up to ten for each editor, and a Free project of more than 25 people may be asked to move to Team.

What happens when a fourth editor joins a Free project?

They join as a reviewer straight away, free and able to read and talk, and an admin can move the project to Team whenever they like. Nobody is locked out.

How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?

In one click, in Plan and billing: Team runs to the end of the period you paid for. Within 14 days of your first payment, or of a yearly renewal, we refund it in full, and the project moves to Free at once, without the 30 days a cancelled project keeps Team.

If we leave Team, what happens to our work?

No document, file or message is deleted, and reading and export always work. A cancelled project keeps Team for 30 days after the period you paid for; then Free's limits apply. Editors beyond three become reviewers, the most recently made editors first, unless an admin chooses others. New files wait while the project holds more than 5 GB, and a document larger than 5 MB or a drawing larger than 10 MB can be read but not saved larger. Earlier versions of a document are kept for 7 days, so older ones are deleted.

We are a company in Türkiye. How do we pay?

Team is ₺249 + KDV per editor a month, billed yearly, or ₺189 + KDV at the founding price, on a TUUSIX e-Fatura or e-Arşiv invoice, paid by bank transfer. Choose Türkiye in Plan and billing.
